Welcome to antonhatwich.com! It's only a one-page 'site' at the moment, but soon I'll be adding more pages and more features. In the meantime I'll be keeping the content here fresh, so please check back frequently for updates on concerts, recordings, tours, and whatever else is going on in my career.

NEWS

  • The Aram Shelton Quartet will be hitting the road from July 25-August 1. Please come out to a concert if we're in your town!
  • Summer is here, which means that the LePine/Hatwich duo have taken up our summer residency on Thursday nights at the venerable Hackney's on Harms in Glenview. The have an alfresco dining area that is really quite unbelievable. Don't take my word for it though, come by and see for yourself.
  • The wonderful San Francisco trumpeter Darren Johnston is in town playing a string of gigs this July. I'll be appearing with him at Elastic on July 20th along with a handful of other Chicagoans. It will be a relaxed night of improvising amongst friends, and if you come out to the show you'll be glad you did.

Anton Hatwich is a bassist, composer, recording artist, and music teacher based out of Chicago, IL. His wide range of professional experience, deep sense of musicality, and powerful tone make Anton's playing a sought-after commodity in Chicago's diverse musical community.

As an educator, Anton has over ten years of experience working with bass students of all levels - children to adults, beginner to college level. He teaches privately in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. In addition to the Double Bass and Electric Bass, Anton also teaches Guitar and Piano.
