WELCOME

Welcome to antonhatwich.com. It's only a one-page 'site' at the moment, but soon I'll be adding more pages and more features. In the meantime I'll be keeping the content here fresh, so please check back frequently for updates on concerts, recordings, tours, and whatever else is going on in my career.

NEWS

  • My first ever solo record, Portraits, is almost finished! Just waiting for the jackets to arrive! The records look great - clear red vinyl 7" records, with silver labels. They sound great too! I'll be doing a number of release events, starting with a house concert on May 27. More details to come.
  • Wrack had a great tour of Europe, that included a performance at Austria's Ulrichsberg Festival, plus concerts in St. Johann in Tirol, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Hasselt BE. Aside from the festival, we shared bills with folks like Clayton Thomas, John Butcher, and Joachim Badenhorst, and also Fred Lonberg Holm's amazing band Seval. It was a great trip all around.
  • I'll be traveling to the west coast in June to start pushing the new record. I'll be performing in Portland OR for the Improvisation Summit of Portland on June 8th and 9th. Heading to Sacramento for a solo set on the 11th, then on the the Bay Area for a couple of days. Check back here for updates.

BIO

Anton Hatwich is a bassist, composer, recording artist, and music teacher based out of Chicago, IL. His wide range of professional experience, deep sense of musicality, and powerful tone make Anton's playing a sought-after commodity in Chicago's diverse musical community.

As an educator, Anton has over ten years of experience working with bass students of all levels - children to adults, beginner to college level. He teaches privately in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. In addition to the Double Bass and Electric Bass, Anton also teaches Guitar and Piano.
